 City Under Siege

A publicity flier for City Under Siege; Kim Moscaritolo in a scene from the show

City Under Siege (2004) is a musical play written by Noah Diamond and Amanda Sisk. It was the first production from Nero Fiddled, followed by Burning Bush: A Faith-Based Musical (2005). Somewhat different in form from the shows which followed it, City Under Siege was a parody of the 2004 Republican National Convention. It was presented as a horror story, and the show coincided with Halloween, 2004.

Connections to later shows

Elements from City Under Siege which found their way into the Burning Bush trilogy include Amanda Sisk's guitar-playing Laura Bush, and Corey Moosa's portrayal of a member of the Finger family. (See Brent Finger and Benjamin Finger.) Like the song "The Creature," these resurfaced in different forms in Burning Bush and Moral Value Meal. Kim Moscaritolo's major character Mopsy Jimenez-Tippington hadn't been named yet; in City Under Siege she was referred to as "Reporter."
