Election Night Event (2008)
Amada Sisk and Noah Diamond on Election Night The logo used for the Election Night Event
The NERO FIDDLED Election Night Event took place on November 4, 2008 at HERE Arts Center in New York City. The event featured live coverage, news feeds, a giant electoral map, live correspondents all over the country, guest performers and commentators, and the happiest ending ever. Life After Bush, which had closed two days before the election, informed the proceedings, and many members of the Life After Bush company were involved in the Election Night Event: Noah Diamond and Amanda Sisk were the "anchors," Tarik Davis appeared on the discussion panel, and Brian Louis Hoffman apeared as George W. Bush. Other panelists included political blogger D.J. Waletzky, and "Fox News correspondent" Hugh Sinclair. Performers included comedians Steve Diamond and Michael Hayne, and a rock band of shifting identity (variously referred to throughout the evening as The Presumed Winners and Too Close To Call).
Around 11:00 pm, NERO FIDDLED was able to report that the American people had elected Barack Obama President of the United States.
