The McPatton Thing

The McPatton Thing is a now-defunct television and radio program hosted by Archie McPatton.

In each episode, McPatton would sound off about current events and popular culture, from an extreme right-wing perspective.

The McPatton Thing premiered in 2004, often providing a soapbox for Bush campaign surrogates and conservative groups such as Homeless Veterans for Bush and ECPOO. Other frequent guests included right-wing columnist Amy Keeler and cable television mogul Pubert Gristle.

Even in the current media climate, McPatton's rhetoric was considered too abrasive for mainstream audiences. After widespread complaints about several of McPatton's more pointed statements, The McPatton Thing was cancelled in 2008. In March of 2008, McPatton returned with a new program, Fuck You with Archie McPatton. Unlike The McPatton Thing, which featured one guest per episode, Fuck You has McPatton moderating panels of experts and commentators. Frequent panelists include Amy Keeler and Ralph Piss.
